All Eco-collections are vegan, made with organic materials, plastic-free (sustainable), made in Germany (Fairtrade, CO2 reduction, waiving air freight) according to the cradle 2 cradle and no waste principle. That means all materials are organic / vegan, from KbA organic cotton. The fabrics are knitted and woven in Saxony Germany, then printed with organic colors and sewn in Kassel suburb. The buttons are made of stonenut and made in Germany. The yarns, labels and zippers are made of organic cotton, so the collections would be compostable because no plastic is used. Since the organic cotton is irrigated with rainwater and the textile printing is organic and digital, no water is needed in the production. Sophia Schneider-Esleben only use two different types of fabric per collection. Production waste is turned into accessories, small residues are recycled into new yarns / fabrics in Berlin. They produce in small quantities to avoid overproduction. Furthermore, they use green electricity in the studio. For their packaging, they use recycled paper and use packages several times.
